I have a customer that has two phone systems. An R3 version ACS, And an Avaya 5.0. The R3 version has a Partner mail in it. Will The Partner mail work with the Avaya 5.0? Thanks in advance, Darren

No such thing as an Avaya 5.0. ACS R5 maybe?
Answer to your question is yes.

Be careful with Partner Mail on ACS processors, or 308 expansion modules. Unless a patch is installed in the Partner Mail by Avaya, you may have issues of the voice cards incorrectly thinking a call is coming into them. When they answer, they are simply taking the extension off hook, and when it times out with no incoming mode codes, the "call" is transferred to the Operator. Thus, Ext. 10 keeps gettting phantom rings on the Intercom from the Voice Mail. 206 modules work fine.

Thanks for the answers. I will be installing a Panasonic TDA 100 with a TVA 50 in place of the Partner system and leaving the Avaya in place but transfering the partner mail from the older Partner to the newer Avaya. Don't ask me why, but the customer wants to use the Avaya for two of his company's and use the Panasonic for the other three company's. The Panasonic would actually handle all five, but the customer is always right. If I have issue's like you say Tommy, Maybe I can convince them to let the Panasonic handle all five company's.
Thanks again, Darren

The R3 version has a Partner mail in it.
Question is what VM are we actually talking about here? Tommy is talking about the "stand alone" Partner Mail R1 or R3. You say "in it". That could be a Mail VS, Partner Messaging or even one of the PC card messaging systems.
