After we where struck by lightning i have not been able to use my 355AF to connect to my phone system. When I connect it will show the main screen but the main menu will not come up. Is there anyone that can help me find a way to connect? Is my 355AF bad or the card in my cpu bad? Please help. Thank you.

Sounds like a Merlin Legend, If so use the MLX20L set for programing.

It's not a cpu, we aren't talking about computers here. What it is is a KSU or control unit. Don't want to be pickey but the right terminology should be used otherwise those who read these posts will get the wrong idea.
Anyway no, I don't think you have a problem with the 355A adapter otherwise you wouldn't connect. seems like the software in the processor is corrupted. You didn't mention what system- I'm going to assume Legend or Magix. Have you tried cycling the power to reset the system? That would be the first thing to try and cures many problems.

if you have a legend 7.0 or Magix you can try and reset the RS232 port in maintenance , with the console co to :
maintenance
port
RS232 port 1
enter
