Hello everybody.

I'm trying to figure out is the asterisks system would work in my house however I don't really see any actual phone that could work.

I'm looking for phone that has at least 17 buttons on it so I can have 1 button for each room.

A lot of the phones I see really don't have these hot buttons like the regular phone systems do.

They have a nice LCD screen but don't really show all the extensions assigned to a unique button. So its not really user friendly. Does anyone know if there is a Analog phone or generic IP phone that has a lot of programmable buttons to show each room .

Maybe have it so you can see when they are on the phone, etc...

I'm beginning to have my doubts about asterisks.

The Altigen VOIP sets have up to 15 soft buttons that can be assigned as station buttons (DSS). I do not know of any VOIP systems that have more.

There are two very important points to keep in mind when looking for a new system (especially VOIP), 1.You get what you pay for and 2.How long has the manufacturer been dealing with the technology?

avaya ip office can have a twenty four programable button set.

The Avaya will work for asterisks or only for Avava?
