I have a customer with a acs 7.0 and just added a 6.0 4 port vm. I have installed many of these I set the #505 vm ports to ext 19,20,21,22 because the system inventory is 5slot and a acs 7.0 and the new vm 6.0 I set #506 Night ringing opt. 2 for the seconed company which is lines L3 and L4 to zero rings but when i call L3 or L4 and its in night mode the night att2 picks up only after about 2 1/2 rings, note i made sure the vm ports are only 19,20,21,22. Im not understanding why this is happening.

Be sure to unassign the lines from all the v-mail exts (#301)Also re-check that the lines are assigned for the v-mail hunt group (#206/Grp7)

Kevin, do you have the VMS Hunt Schedule (#507) set to 3, night only or 1, always?

Default is option 1 which is always. That should be fine.
Make sure that you actually have L03 and L04 set to zero rings. You might try playing with it, make them 4 or 6 rings and see if it responds. How about AA #1, that working OK? Try making those lines zero rings and see what happens.
Another thing I just thought of and I'm not sure it would cause this but make sure you don't have line ownership assigned by the messaging system for those lines. (Not the ACS)
Otherwise the only thing I can see is a problem with the R7 ACS, possibly another bug when used with the PM R6.

well #208 is not assigned for sure, but I was talking to another tech he told me since i have the attd set to weekly buiss. sched. the ringing will follow day mode ringing i know sounds weird he claims if i set the switch mode on with the night button i will get zero rings but that will affect company 1 which is opened for an extra hour each day.

The weekly business schedule will NOT affect the number of rings before answering. The Night Service button will affect it, but the schedule determines if the Day or Night message answers when the call gets there.
Just for grins, swap L1/L2 with L3/L4. Even though the wrong AA will answer the lines, check if you still get the same number of rings before answering.
