I seem to have lost the ability to talk a to an R6 with the Partner ACS PC adminstration software. I'm direct connecting, the modem [IC76] connects at 14400 then after a bit I get the message
"Session initiation with the PARTNER system has failed"
The modem stays connected but I don't get the login screen nor can I DL from the switch. This all did work 2 weeks ago with the same equipment hooked up. Any Ideas what the problem might be. I've tried various modem settings to no avail.
Thanks, JEB

Sounds like your remote access card might be going bad. Do you have it in PC slot "1"?

check that system still has a password stored, also some modems don't work well with the remote access card US robotics seem to always work.

Remote access with the Partner ACS is unreliable at best. That's why the R7 has a serial port and an external modem is recommended. A US Robotics external modem on your PC is the only modem recommended if you want to have any chance of connecting to your R6.
