I have an old Partner Communications System R2 (not ACS, this is circa 1992, but I think refurbed once), and when I power up just the 206 module alone, the green indicator light remains off for 30-40 seconds. Then it starts blinking slowly, picks up frequency over the next 15-20 seconds, then stays steady green, at which point the phones become active.
If I try powering up with a 200 module attached, the 200 module lights up immediately, but the 206 never lights up at all, even after 5 minutes, and the phones remain dead.
Anyone recognize the cause of this?

Is this a processorless Partner? If not, do you have the processor out of the middle slot? If it is not a processorless Partner, you have to have a processor in there. But,I'd suggest you try a 'new' 206. John C (Not Garand)

In what slot do you have the 200 card in?

Yeah, the 206 is defective. Did you really think we were going to tell you something else?

To clarify the setup: this is just a basic 4x6 configuration with a 200 module dovetailing onto a 206 processor mounted on the wall. There is no carrier.
So we have a couple general opinions that the 206 is dying, and one specific pinpointing the power supply. Anyone else care to weigh in and confirm, deny, or add to?

This is a humble 2-module system, so I can use what the Installation and Use Manual calls the "mounting tracks" (molded right into the faces of the modules) to mount the 200 directly onto the 206, which is itself mounted directly onto the wall (page 2-6 in this version of the manual).

You are using a 2 slot carrier. They don't connect together by being next to each other.

Please! This isn't ask the amateurs. Throw the thing into the dumpster. We've wasted enough time on this already.
