I am swapping out a system already running with 3 different paging options. Installing a Partner R7. They have asked for a ALL PAGE, 1ST FLOOR PAGE, and 2ND FLOOR PAGE. The old system had been working correctly. How can I institute it into the Partner system to work. They have 2 paging amplifiers 1 for 1st floor and 1 for 2nd floor. I was thinking of programming a button with a light for 1st floor page, and a 2nd button with a light for 2nd floor page....and I have the 1st floor page button assigned to line 7 and 2nd floor page button assigned to line 8. out of line 7 and line 8 I have installed a wmt1a impedence matching transformer, then plug it into the music input source on the amplifier. will this work for the different floor paging? if so, then how could I get the all page to work?

No, it will do nothing. You need to use a paging controller that will interface with a CO port or an extension port or the page port as ttech says. Valcom, Viking and Bogen are three places for you to look.

In the Partner R7 you can designate ONE trunk to become a paging port. That completely changes the charcteristics of the port, it is now a 600-ohm output to go directly to the input of an amp.
If you want to use a 2nd trunk port for additional paging, you need a trunk level paging interface that will supply talk battery to the Partner and isolate the DC from the input of the amp.
ttech is exactly correct, you need to use a zone page controller, which will interface to a trunk port programmed as a page port. Intercom 70 will get you to the controller, then you will have to dial a zone number from there before paging.
For the all page, I assigned line 5 to be paging. I came out of line 5/page port and installed a WMT1A, then connected a RCA plug into a RCA splitter and went into the music output on both amplifiers for 1st floor and 2nd floor, and it seems to work just fine
Well, yes that how it's supposed to work for a single paging group. That's all an ACS can do by itself. Now how are you going to do the first and second floor separately? That's where you are going to need a controller.

If you had two spare station ports you could wall mount two 6 nutton phones in the equipment room, program one for calling group 71 and one for group 72. Come off the speaker leads of the phones to a line input.Use the volume comtrol on the phone to adjust the input level. This would let you have two seperate page zones and an all page, you would also have the option of calls ringing over the pageing.
Ummm, thanks George but this isn't a butcher's forum. We like to think that we are professionals here and what you suggest falls far outside of that category.

I've used Bogen and Valcom for multi zone paging. The last I used was a Bogen. It will allow a CO port, analog station port, or page port for access. I feed it from an analog station port. To page, I programmed a speed dial code to dial the analog station port. It rings and the Bogen answers immediately and provides a beep tone. Then one dials the page zone code, one of which is an "all call". This Bogen unit has up to nine zones if desired.
