Hello folks,
I Have a customer with a CKE5 that Restored his programming with out converting the file to magix. the sytem is 3 cab with 3 016MLX Modules. and is working fine. the problem is that i went to add 2 more 016 mlx modules in the last tw0 slots but i had to remove 2 cards whitch i belive were in the 2nd cab slots 3and 4 one was DID module other 008MLX. moved exsiting cards over two slots and move line cords and put in the 2 016MLX modules and did board renumber and all the ext were right but system kept rebooting on ist own. is this because i added the 2 016Mlx in the last cab? too many in one carrier?
should i add 1 at a time?

This link may be of help. Tim (Dagwoodsystems) did some investigative testing with 016MLX cards and made some interesting discoveries.

I read this forum already and i dont see the relevence.
The system is already running with 3 016MLX cards in it. and shows as a 7.0 legend.
I am going to flash to a 2.0 Magix and convert file to match.

I belive you have a plastic lagend cabinet. make sure that power supply is the right rel. Count a load per cabinet to make sure there is enough power to handle it.

There are some very specific instructions you need to follow when replacing something like an 008 MLX module with an 016 MLX module (particularly if the board resides in either of the last two slots in the carrier). See "Board Renumbering with the 016 MLX Module" beginning on page 3-46 (Adobe Acrobat page 95) in https://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/magix_r3/730140SPB_1.pdf

This is a power supply issue. I've had this happen with DS1 cards and 016MLX cards. You need the 391C1 supply.
