I have a Parner VS system and am trying to get into the voicemail system, but it just rings and rings after I dial 777. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Did this just start happening, or is it a new installation?

Are there any lights on the voice mail module?

This just started yesterday. There is a status light that is red and another light up top on the same side that is green. It was installed approx. 2 yrs. ago.

Double check to make sure that the ports assigned to Hunt Group #7 are correct.

Maybe I should have prefaced my post with the info that I have virtually zero experience with this or any other phone system. I know that no one has touched it and it just started this on Monday.

Well, to ask the painfully obvious question: Have you powered-down the system for about 30 seconds and powered it back up? It might be worth a try at this point. I seriously doubt that your system's existing programming has been lost, but even if it has, you aren't going to cause further harm in doing so.

Yes, I powered the system down and still can't get in. I tried 777 and it rings 7 times or so then silence.....

Not that we don't want to help you but I have to ask why you are not contacting the company that sold and installed the system. There is great benefit to a relationship with a reputable dealer as you are about to find out.

The Partner Mail VS was discontinued much longer than two years ago so it certainly wasn't new when you got it.

Nope, it wasn't new and the business I purchased it from is longer around, thus I am asking for assistance here. Up until yesterday, the system would prompt for an extension and all was good. Thought maybe it might be something I could fix myself with a little help from others that have much more knowledge than I do about this system.

the red light is trouble, do a system reset of your phones system
Feature oo left intercom 2 times, then #728
if the voice mail comes up again, with the red light, it looks as if you have a bad vm
