Is there any way to modify/improve/add to the information bcmsvu pulls to create reports. I guess what I'm hoping for is more in depth cdr info.

nc, please always include the type of system you are working on and the software version. BCMS reports are pretty limited, you might want to check out CMS. It should give you exactly what you are looking for and must for every call center. But if you looking for cdr reports you might what to pair that or just get a call accounting box. https://support.avaya.com/japple/css/japple?PAGE=Product&temp.productID=107584

Sorry about the lack of system info,G3R9.I also have some admin software that looks like it has the ability to export cdr data from the switch but I can't find any documentation that goes into any detail on how to use it or generate useful reports. It's avaya site administration 3.1.13. Could you point me to some worth while information that might have some examples?

The Site admin software is a GUI interface to do programming on the Definity switch. This will not supplyan real type of reports for you. As liquidvw stated the BCMS reports are pretty limited. If you are looking for some indepth reports you will need to be looking at some type of CMS or call accounting software that can handle the raw call data.

So, if I understand you correctly, even though I'm given what appears to be a very wide range of data filters to choose from, including the fact that I can export the data and dump it into an excel spread sheet, I still need a different app. I looked at the cms product that liquidvw pointed me at and the echi still puts it on the customer to figure out what to do with the info when it's exported. I'm confused.

ASA will allow exporting limited amounts of data from your switch. Mostly programming data, like stations, trunks, etc. CDR - Call Detail Recording is a feature programmed in the switch "change system cdr" It allows for details of call data to be sent from the switch to an output device. The output can be as simple as a printer, and as complex as a PC running software to compile and make custom reports from the collected data. BCMS - switch command line reporting on splits, trunks, vdns, agents.. with minimum detail. Adjunct software like BCMSVU can reside on a PC and collect the data, then compile more complex summary reports. https://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/cms_r13/07-300061_i5_bcmsops.pdf CMS - adjunct server connected to your switch. Can collect and allow realtime reporting on all measured facilities in the switch. Again, that would be traffic for hunt-groups (also know as splits / skills) agents, vdns, and trunk traffic. https://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/lcc/cc_r9_2/215893_2/215955_1/215955_1.pdf https://support.avaya.com/edoc/docs/def9/d9gacc3.pdf https://support.avaya.com/japple/cs...p;temp.bucketID=160259&PAGE=Document
