Lucent Legend R6 with a 100D t-1 card and t-1 for Inbound and outbound calls. A new department requested a fax line. I assume and 800# off the t-1 would be the most cost effective way of doing that? Correct?
We will have an 800# set up with the Telco with DNIS XXX pointing to analog ext XXX attached to the fax machine. Outbound calls from the fax machine will use local dial tone provided by the legend. This seems like it should work. Is it a reliable way to provide inbound faxing? Are there any pitfalls?
Any special setup considerations on the analog extension?

You've hit the nail on the head. Only other thing I do is go to Aux Equip and tag the extension as a fax, to change the ring cadence.
