I cannot clear or reset these phones I bought used. They come up with a VLAN id, so I set up a VLAN. Phone comes up but I cannot reset or clear the phone so it comes up to default condition. can anyone help with this?

Mute CLEAR (25327)# should work. If not, there may be a line of configuration in the settings file that is preventing it. When phone boots, normally you can simply scroll thru the addressing settings to clear IP-related info.

You can not do the mute clear #. When it first boots it doesn't give you the * option to get to make changes. It just scrolls through shows you the vlan id and that is it.

Then there is a line in the configuration settings file that is preventing. Review the file...

You can get e new (default) settings.txt file from the avaya site.

correct. Install a new 46xxsettings.txt file and make sure you SET PROCSTAT 0 and SET PROCPSWD 27238
