IPK used software called SAT to program using PC's or laptops.
I looked around for that software and it seems its long gone.
If I can get the one NEC phone I have working or the web interface on the CPU II card I can probably do any programming I need from those.
Though if you have a old copy of that software it might be good to have or upload to archive.org.
Never had to connect to any circuit card except the CPU.
You can program using a multi button phone on the first 2 ports, (it can be done on any other port via additional code, no longer remember what that is).
Each circuit card will need to be assign to the slot you put it in except the CPU. I believe the MIF card goes next to the CPU, and you program which MIF, it's been a long time since I touched one of these.
Hardware manual will explain the pin out of the 25 pair tails, corresponding with which card is in what slot. I do not have this manual.
Thanks for the info,
well I got my MDF punched down, powered on the KSU and toggled the reset .
I connected to some phones, the 8 port SLIB card in Slots 1 and 2 appear to be working as I can dial extensions from the old analogue phones, I have not tested all 16 extensions yet.
Slot 3 has a card for a the one NEC office phone a DTH-320-1 I have. I am not getting anything from that phone, nothing on the display no dial tone no signs of life.
I am assuming the phones get their power from the phone line?
Checking the phone line I get about 4.8 volts DC, checking the 24V and 5V test points on the ESIB card they are 27V and 4.8V respectively.
The phone is connected to the yellow/orange pair at the MDF which according to the manual I have is first digital line from the 3rd card slot where the ESIB is. I also tried the 2nd digital line and same thing 4.8VDC and the terminal is dead.
Any advice on determining if I have a bad phone or a bad card? Seems like the phone is bad.
I also tested with the ethernet port on the CPUII, I get a lan activity light but did not see anything at the default IP 172.16.0.10 the IPK II Programming manual describes, but It may be a issue with my network I'll need to pay around with that more.
Thanks again for the assistance
