The company has Norstar MICS with version 1.1. They would like to upgrade thier software and maybe add some voicemail. What is the process for upgrading the software? Thanks

If you don't mind reprogramming the system, it is as painless as purchasing the new software, plugging it in (power down first), then programming. If there are a lot of phones in complex configuration (or you just don't want to reprogram), you will have to upgrade in a couple of steps, using the "upgrade tool". This process saves most of the reprogramming, but I have heard of people losing everything anyway. All old Norstar phones are supported in new MICS software. If your phone model numbers are M7xxx or T7xxx, they will work. ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !
