There are lots of things the svmi and the phone system can do that aren't in documentation. I've found some of the things that you can make it do Samsung isn't even aware of. Glad it worked well for you. I install Panasonic systems as well and your right about the CID routing being all over the place in general descriptions and in the tech manuals. Maybe down the road we'll see it in the Samsung manuals as well.
As far as this being a feature for the e series voicemails only you can do it on all the svmi products. In the non E series voicemials the direct trunk menu is hidden by default. I won't post the command to show it in a public forum though once you can get into it I believe you have the same settings available. I also beleive you can do this on any system the voicemail is in, R1, R2, DCS, DCSC etc.
