Hi guys. I have a brand new CIX 40 (sith a GIPU) I just installed. It is on the customer's LAN. We have Telus ADSL with a static IP, to a DLink router, then to a switch, which the KSU is connected to. Customer has a laptop with Toshiba softIPT 3.0 on it. Emailed Toshiba tech support to find out ports in the router I have to port forward to the KSU, and was informed "Toshiba does not support port forwarding". Anyone have this working, or am I beating my head against a wall. Thanks. Mike

You can either set up a VPN or put the GIPU on a public IP address.

Be careful. TELUS in BC will tell you that it is a static address, but they change the gateway occasionly. A friend of mine learned this the hard way.
He had to change to SHAW cable modem to get a true static IP and gateway.
